Uhhh...whoops?

So I went for so long, but, I forgot my password one day and just didn't care enough to recover it. Oh well, we went for like 7 months that was a pretty good try. I've seen a lot of movies since my last post, and I really don't want to do a backlog.

I could start up form now and keep going to the end of the year, but, I really don't get enough viewers to even waste my time with that. In fact I'm pretty sure all the views I do get are just people looking at the movie poster pictures I host on this blog.

Oh well, fuck it as they say. Who says that? I'm not entierly sure, but they were very wise.

Smell ya later shitlords,

Resident Evil: After Life

This movie was horrible. No, really, this movie was really bad, the acting was bad, the story was bad, the dialog was bad.

It's the 4th installment of the series, zombie outbreak caused by the evil Umbrella corporation.

Seriously this movie was bad. I don't know how many more times I can say it. This movie was so awful that I was actually rooting for the zombies to win. At least that way the movie would end and I could try my best to forget what I just saw.

Don't see this movie. I hope you heed my advice on this one, this movie is awful, it's just a giant waste of time, and the worst part about this entire movie? It ends setting up for another horrible sequal. FML

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

So I was always a big fan of the Harry Potter series growing up, and I was looking forward to seeing how they were going to end this epic series with the last movie maybe ever. I was into it until the very end. But, the last 5-10 minutes they cut out so much that I felt was a big part of the story it really bummed me out.

The final chapter begins as Harry, Ron, and Hermione continue their quest of finding and destroying the Dark Lord's three remaining Horcruxes, the magical items responsible for his immortality. But as the mystical Deathly Hallows are uncovered, and Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again.

I would go into detail, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen, or read it yet. Well, mostly read it, you'll be unaware of what I would be referencing to if you haven't read the book. Besides that, it was a good movie, and I enjoyed it. Really though, the special effects were good, and the large fight scenes were fun to watch, even know it really hardly focused on them.

All in all, it was a good movie, wasn't the best movie of the series, but, it was up there.  I wish I could continue to look forward to another book in the life of Harry Potter, but, I don't believe that will be happening, so enjoy this movie, because it may very well be the last time you see Harry Potter.

Fast Five

I had actually watched this movie like four days ago, but, forgot about writing the review for it, whoops. So, the movie isn't going to be as fresh in my mind, but, lucky for us, it was a Fast and the Furious movie. Let's start out by saying these last two "Fast" movies have been really trying to push away from the racing aspect that made the first movies fun to watch. They are really trying to push toward more of a Oceans 11 type of action/crime/drama movie.

Dominic and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent. With heat coming at them from both sides of the law, they need to make a plan to disappear and fast.

I'm a sucker for the "Fast" movies, I love them, everyone one of them, except 2 Fast 2 Furious, that one was an abomination, but, Eve Mendes was in that one so it made up for it. So, what can I say, even know they are trying to push away from the racing aspect of the previous movies, it still turned out to be entertaining and I did enjoy it.

If you do  decide to watch this, which, I think you should, watch out for cameos, there is a lot of them. A lot of appearances from past cast members of the previous movies, and a nice surprise after the credits roll, so stay tuned for that. Only thing that was missing was Lucas Black, who was the star of the third installment The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, which was my favorite and still is of the series, shame it is suppose to take place after the current movies coming out. How confusing, right?

Source Code

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I'm getting much lazier with my reviews as of late, but, so what, you can suck my butt. Keeping it short and to the point with this review, I'm going to pound this puppy out in like 3 minutes. It was better then I thought it would be, but not as good as I hoped it would be.

An action thriller centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. Struggling with his mission, and the issues of death, he finds out more then he needs to know.

The movie started off pretty slow, but, it ramped up near the middle, slowed back down, and then had a nice ride of an ending. The acting was good, even know the actors were acting out the same scenes with different dialog over and over, it still kept me interested in what was happening, and what was going to happen next.

As I said, it was better then I thought it would be, but, not quite as good or interesting as I had hoped it would have been. With that in mind, I say it's a decent watch for a boring night, don't expect anything to mind blowing with this film, but, I think as the credits begin to roll at the end, you'll be satisfied with what you just saw.

Black Death

Sean Bean, only reason I watched this movie. Funny, I think I made that statement not to long ago for another movie. Anyway, I was still on my kick from the just finished first season of Game of Thrones, and I seen Sean Bean had recently done another medieval movie, so figured I should watch it. It was pretty good, could have been better but, I enjoyed it.

Set during the time of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England, a young monk is tasked with learning the truth about reports of people being brought back to life in a small village.Escorted by knights sent by the bishop to find the root of this evil.

Let's see, biggest complaint for me has to be some of the acting being rather bland. Particularly from Eddie Remayne, I loved him in Pillars of Earth, but, I felt that he played the same character in this one, yet, poorly. The makeup and effects were quite bad also, it was almost laughable at points. The story was done well, for what it was. The sets and locations were fantastic.

All in all, if you like Sean Bean, you'll like this movie. He plays the roll he plays in every movie or television show I've seen him in. If you've seen more then one of his films, you know what roll I'm talking about. It was to fantastical, so if you are looking for a more serious venture into the medieval, this would be a good choice for you too.

Arthur

This was the 2011 Russell Brand remake. I have to say, I heard a whole lot of bad about it, but, I enjoyed it myself. A lot of people don't like Russell Brand, and I can see why, but, I think he's a funny guy and enjoy watching him in movies. After all the horror I had heard about this movie, I started it up cringing waiting to regret even starting it. It never happened though, I laughed quite a bit, and thought it was a pretty decent remake.

A drunken playboy(Russell Brand) stands to lose all of his wealth when he falls in love with a woman his mother doesn't approve of. Trying to reign him in, his nanny(Helen Mirren) attempts to lead him in the right direction.

Yeah, I don't know about that synopsis either, oh well, you get the idea. The movie was funny, had a few good laugh out load moments. It was however what I refer to as "stupid comedy" which is something, when done right, I just love to see. Perhaps that is one of the reasons I enjoy Russell Brand, he does a lot of stupid things that I find to be funny. I know a lot of people who would just find this movie dumb, but, I loved it.

Now, I've seen the original Arthur, even know it was quite a bit before my time, it was, however, years ago when I say so I can't really compare this remake to the original. All I can say is I liked this version of Arthur, I thought it was funny, and well done. If you like comedy, and drunken benders, I'd definitely recommend this movie to you.

Age of Heroes

The movie sounded pretty interesting when I read what it was about, so I decided to watch it. It wasn't that good, but, it wasn't horrible either. The acting was good, the action was decent enough. I just wasn't a big fan of the pacing of the film, that's what did it for me. I can't quite put my finger on the exact issue, but, I knew something was off.

The true story of the birth of Ian Fleming's commando unit. With the orders to take down a Nazi Freya system, these highly trained commandos infiltrate the base in Norway, with the orders to steal it's technology and destroy the surrounding towers, but, will they meet their most important objective, make it out alive?

I'm not the biggest fan of the WW2 era, which is when this movie takes place, however, I still enjoyed the movie enough to see it through. Sean Bean put on a good performance as always, can't complain about that. What I can complain about is the ending. Most movies that are based on a true story end with telling you want happened after the mission, and into the future. This one left me hanging. Didn't tell me what happened to any of the commandos, or even where they ended up in the future.

If you are a fan of Ian Fleming, or of the WW2 era, this movie would probably interest you quite a bit. If you are not, well you should probably pass on this one. I can't really give a solid recommendation for this movie either way. So, I'll say this, watch at your own risk.

Dylan Dog: Dead of Night

Excuse the language but, holy shit what a horrible movie. I think it might have been the goal of those who produced this movie to gather all of the worst over actors in the business and put them in one movie just to see what happens. Well, Dylan Dog: Dead of Night is what happened. It was like watching high school students act.

Dylan Dog a supernatural private eye comes out of retirement when a crazed monster begins killing humans. Is all as it seems, or has Dylan opened up a can of worms he wasn't ready to accept.

Okay, now read that horrible plot synopsis I just wrote, that was really bad right? Yeah, picture having to hear someone speak like that for almost two hours, and over react the entire time. That is what this movie was. I had no clue who Dylan Dog was when I watched this movie, I was aware he was a comic book character but that was about it, and I can say after seeing this movie I have no intention of finding out more about him.

Don't get me wrong the Dylan Dog comics could be amazing, but, this movie was so horrible that I don't even want to find out. When a movie can completely ruin a character for you, that's a bad movie in my opinion. With that being said, don't see this movie, especially if you enjoy the Dylan Dog comics, because, after watching this abomination, you might just burn your entire collection, and stick a toothpick in your eye.

Sucker Punch

Disappointment, that was the only word that kept ruining through my head while watching this movie. Well, that and that Emily Browning is smoking hot as a blond. This movie wasn't anything that I thought it would be, I had heard nothing but good from it from friends, but, it wasn't anything like I thought it would be.

Sucker Punch follows a young girl named Baby Doll, who was institutionalized by her abusive step father, and while locked away fantasizes of an alternate reality where see envisions a plan to escape.

So, if you were to cut out all the plot from this movie, all the dialog, and just leave the action sequences, this movie would be a bad ass forty minute music video. But, when you leave it all together you get a poorly acted, convoluted story with no real character development, or point. That's basically how I would sum up this movie.

I say skip this movie, unless all you care about is a seeing hot women dressed in skimpy cloths kicking ass using wire fu. Otherwise don't see this movie, just pick up the soundtrack, that is really the only worthwhile part of this movie. That is something I also plan to pick up when I come across it. Great music, horrible movie.

Unknown

Let me start off with this, Liam Neeson is the man. Now that we have that out of the way, this was actually a pretty damn good movie. I actually didn't see the twist coming in this one, it didn't really blow me away by any means, but, it was still a surprise all the same. The acting was fantastic, the accents were not.

After a car accident, a man awakes from a coma only to discovery that someone has taken his identity, and no one, not even his own wife believes him. Now on the search for proof of who he is, and why someone would steal his identity.

Okay, about the whole accent thing I talked about earlier. As much as I love Liam Neeson, he can't do a believable American accent, but, that's okay, I don't hold him back for it. Other then that, I loved the movie. It wasn't quite as action packed as I thought it would be, I went in expecting a movie akin to Taken. I did however still enjoy the mystery story this movie had to tell.

Look, this movie isn't going to win any awards, and I doubt many people will even know it exist, I didn't. Though I am happy I came across it and got to see it. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone, especially if you are a fan of Liam Neeson, or a good mystery.

Paul

I do love the combination of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, every movie I've seen that had them in it together has been great. This movie did not disappoint, it also probably helped that I'm just as big of a nerd as the characters they portrayed in the film. I didn't know what to expect with Seth Rogen voicing the alien, but, surprisingly it fit well.

While on vacation in America for comic con, and a trip across the states to all the alien hot spots, Graeme and Clive come across a real alien running for his life, trying to get back home. An adventure that will turn these two nerds into heroes.

The CGI could have been better, but, other then that it was a pretty fun movie. It was funny, and had good dialog. The story was fun and interesting, had a fare amount of action in it, overall I enjoyed it quite a bit.

So, I say, you should watch this movie, especially if you enjoy any of the actors in it, or if you just a big nerd like me, it has a little for everyone. Even a small love story throughout, if you're in to that sort of thing. So take some time out of your day, sit on the couch and watch Paul, I don't think you'll regret it.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Normally I'll let a movie stew for a day or so after I see it before I review it. But, I think I'll knock this one out right now, it shouldn't be to difficult. This was the worse one so far, I may be a little biased, but, what this movie was missing was a little Keira Knightley, that may very well be the reason I didn't like this one as much. Other then that, it was pretty much you standard Pirates movie.

Captain Jack Sparrow is back, and this time he's on the hunt for the Fountain of Youth, you'll see many familiar faces along the way, along with the legendary Black Beard. Will Jack's luck finally run out, or will he triumph over Black Beard, zombies, mermaids, and the Royal Navy?

Johnny Depp must just love the character of Jack Sparrow, the fourth movie has just come out, and he's already in talks for a fifth. I must say it is a fun character, and I'll definitely see what ever Disney cooks up next with him, but, how long will this franchise be able to hold on for, before people start to get tired of it.

Pirates was funny, and an interesting watch, I enjoyed myself all the way through, the end obviously leaves it open for a sequel as expected. I'd have to say if you enjoyed the previous films you'll love this one, maybe not as much, with the gorgeous Keira Knightley gone, but, Penélope Cruz isn't a bad stand in. If you didn't like the previous films, well, you won't like this one either.

X-Men: First Class

I've been hearing quite a few different reviews for this movie prior to seeing it. I've heard that it ranks up in the quality of The Dark Knight, and I've also heard that it was so bad I'd want to pull my eyes out. Not knowing which to believe I went in with an open mind, and expecting nothing. It definitely wasn't as bad as I've heard, but, it wasn't of Christopher Nolan quality either.

X-Men: First Class is the origin story of some of your favorite marvel heroes, Professor Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Havok, Beast, and Banshee. This movie tells how these people came to know each other, and what pushed them to view the world in the way they do now. Set during the Cold War, and the Cuban missile crisis.

I thought the movie was pretty good, I however liked the first trilogy of X-Men movie better then this one, and with the money it's making in theaters at the moment, I'm sure there will be a sequel to this movie in the coming years. Not really to much to point out, it was an X-Men movie, so great CGI effects, interesting story structure, and fantastic fighting.

This movie focused more on story then it did on the action front, which leaves me to assume, a sequel, which I'm sure will come, will focus more on the action, and use of powers then this movie did. I'd recommend it to any fan of Marvel or superheroes in general.

Hanna

So, it was like a female Jason Bourne. That's really the best way to describe it, except for the fact that the girl was underage, and lived in a forest her entire life. Other then that a female Jason Bourne. Big question though, was the movie good? I didn't much care for it, but, I could see that it has potential, just wasn't clicking with me.

A girl raised to be a killer, trained by her father, to have no fear and no remorse. Raised in the forest, having to hunt for food to survive, Hanna is the perfect killing machine. Sent to avenge her mothers death is the only thing on her mind.

Wow, that plot summary blows, oh well I'm over it moving on. As I said earlier, I didn't much care for this movie, can't put my finger on why as of yet, but, just wasn't for me. The acting was pretty good, the action scenes were well done, but, poorly shot. The plot was convoluted at first, but ironed itself out as the movie went along. The ending left a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't think I'll ever purposely watch this movie again, I found myself bored as the movie neared the halfway point. I wouldn't recommend this movie, yet, I can see the potential in it. Others may enjoy this more then I did. But, if your taste have meshed with mine so far, I'd stay away from this one.

Priest

I've been pretty much over the whole vampire phase for quite awhile now, but, I still love a good action movie, so I figured I could look past the whole vampire-ness of this movie, and watch it for the action scenes. Sad to say, I don't think this movie will see a sequel, it was a pretty lackluster movie all the way through.

Vampires and humans have always existed with one another, and have been in constant conflict since the beginning. As the years have gone by, the sheer power of the vampires were pushing humankind into extinction. But, with the introduction of the priest, warriors trained by the church, humankind was able to root out and capture or destroy most vampires. After the war, the priest were decommissioned, but, was that to soon? Is the war still waging?

I felt the story moved a little to fast in this movie, it could have been paced better, the action scenes, were short and also extremely one sided. They ended the movie setting it up for a sequel, but, from what I seen with it, there won't be one. I don't really know how else to explain my feelings for this movie. How about, you are going to a fireworks display, you expect it to be big and beautiful, instead they just shoot off three or four bottle rockets and call it a day, saying "Come back next year, and see it again!" Yeah, that was pretty much this movie.

I wouldn't recommend seeing this movie, but, I'm not completely against it either. I sure some will really enjoy it, but, what I will say is this, if you do decide to see it, don't expect to much from it. And if you decide to skip out on it, you aren't missing much.

The Hangover Part 2

I loved The Hangover, it was hands down the funnest movie that came out that year, so it's very safe to say I was really looking forward to this one. Was I let down? A little bit, I expected more from the sequel, but instead I got almost the exact same movie. And when I say exact, I mean almost to the letter, exact same movie.

The Wolf pack is back, and this time their in Thailand for Stu's wedding, but, after waking up once again in a strange place with no memories of what happened the night before, and another missing friend, they have to retrace their steps from the previous night and hope they can still come out on top.

See what I mean? Exact same movie, it was still very funny, but, not as funny as the previous movie. It did well in the box office though, in fact I have already read that they are writing the script for the third installment to this franchise. Did I enjoy the movie? Hell yes I did, it was funny, as I said, and even know it was the same plot from the last movie, it still worked.

They may have recycled a few of the jokes from the last movie, but there was enough new material to keep me rolling throughout the film. Especially the scene with Stu and the rest of the Wolf pack in the Thai strip club. This movie however was much dirty then the last, not just language wise, but, full frontal male nudity wise. You should keep that in mind before you decide to watch this one. I do recommend this movie to everyone, whether you've seen the last one or not, you'll still laugh at this one.

Rango

I know it's been awhile since my last post, but, hey, it's been awhile since the last movie I saw, and the last one I was was Rango. So, let's talk about it a little bit, shall we? It was better then I expected it to be, same story structure as every kids movie since the beginning of time, but, still had me laughing at a few of the parts throughout. I enjoyed it a enough to finish the movie, but, other then that, I doubt I'll ever think of this movie again.

Rango follows a lizard who after an unfortunate event is left in the desert to fend for himself. Coming upon a town, he decides, since no one knows who he is, he could be anyone. Could this initiative put him in more danger then he's ready for? Or will he end up becoming the man he dreams to be.

I really don't know what else to say about this movie, it was cute, had a few laugh out loud funny parts, but was very predictable. Had a few jokes, and throwbacks tossed in for the adults to keep them entertained, which I also liked. Other then that, it was forgettable.

I doubt I'll ever watch this movie again, or even think about it again, that could be why this review is going to end up so sort. Even know I enjoyed the movie enough while I watched, I've already forgotten about it. I'd recommend it if you have any kids, or really enjoy Johnny Depp, otherwise, you aren't missing out on anything.

Water for Elephants

Now, I'm not a real fan of Robert Pattinson, but, I had been hearing good things about this movie, so I decided I would watch it. Well, I have to say, this was probably Robert Pattinson's best work form the movies of his I had seen so far.

A veterinary student (Robert Pattinson) joins a traveling circus after tragedy strikes his home. After meeting the circus owners(Christoph Waltz) wife (Reese Witherspoon) he falls in love, and as their relationship blooms, life becomes much harder on the road.

The movie wasn't quite what I thought it would be, but, it was still a decent watch. The story was quite good, and the acts in the circus were fun to watch. Christoph Waltz was the perfectly cast for this movie, in the role of the abusive husband. As much as I hated his character I loved to watch him play it. I didn't really feel the chemistry between Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson during the movie, which was a shame.

Overall the movie was decent, nothing to write home about. I enjoyed it enough to recommend a watch if you have time. But, definitely not something you need to worry about missing, I don't see it winning any big awards.

Limitless

First of all, I love the basic idea for this movie, it's something I've always thought about. What if you could unlock the full potential of your brain. So, I was very much looking forward to seeing this movie. It may have not met all my expectations, but, it met enough of them for me to truly enjoy this movie from beginning to end.

Limitless follows a struggling writer, who on a chance meet is offered a pill that will unlock the full potential of his brain, after using it for the first time, Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper) is amazed at what he could accomplish, at his motivation, at the pure power his brain possess. As a series of twists and turns leads Eddie into a world he didn't know existed, he must ask himself, is it all worth it.

The thought of a pill that can bring your intelligence into the four digits just amazes me, and this movie did a pretty good job as showing what that would be like in real world terms. How quickly someone could rise from having nothing, to having the entire world at their fingertips. How a man could take twelve thousand dollars, and in one months time turn it into two million dollars. I was hooked on it through the whole film.

This movie deserves to be watched, just for the premise of it alone. The basic idea this movie is based around is so interesting to me. The actual plot of the movie is adequate, the pacing was a bit off I felt, and the way it ended left more to be desired. But, I still enjoyed the hell out of it, and I think you will too. I do recommend seeing this movie.

Beastly

A modern day version of the classic Beauty and the Beast story done horribly. It wasn't as bad as I heard it was, but, it was horrible none the less. Neil Patrick Harris couldn't even put this movie back on track, maybe if he had gotten a little more screen time, he could have saved this poor movies ugly soul.

Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is a vain jerk, who believes beauty is all that matters, when he rags on the wrong girl about her looks, she curses him to be as ugly on the outside as he is on the inside. She gives him a year to find real love or he will stay ugly forever. Can he really change and become a better person?

Okay, where should I start? The title of this movie is Beastly, that is a horrible title for any movie. I should have known what I was getting into with that. Vanessa Hudgens, how is she famous? She cannot act at all, she's a pretty face who seems to have an issue with taking naked pictures of herself, that's it. I actually felt a little embarrassed for her trying to act her way through this movie. The plot, it was so very rushed, the movie could have been a lot better if they didn't try to push through the movie as quickly as they could. I never felt any sympathy for the main character Kyle, he just whined throughout the entire movie, the last about 20 minutes was the only time his character actually started to change.

Really, I could talk about what is bad with this movie for another six paragraphs, so let's focus on something a little shorter. What's good about this movie, hopefully I can make a paragraph out of that. Let's see, I can sum up what was good about this movie in three simple letters N.P.H. Neil Patrick Harris, he was fantastic in this movie, he comedic timing was perfect, he carried the scenes he was in without breaking a sweat, that is for sure.

Listen, normally I would say if you are into sappy romances watch this, but, this movie wasn't even a sappy romance, the plot moved so fast, that it seemed no romance even happened. This movie traveled at like Mach 10 throughout the whole film. It was rushed, and they made a poor choice in the female lead. Don't see this movie, you don't want to do that to yourself.

The Lincoln Lawyer

Well, it was a predictable movie, not a lot of surprises through out the film, but, it was still a good watch, and well acted. I also believe this was a new record for Matthew McConaughey, he only took his shirt off one time throughout the entire movie.

A defense lawyer who works out of the back of his Lincoln town car is presented with the case of a rice Beverly Hills Realtor, accused of attacking a women. As Mick Haller (Matthew McConaughey) begins to investigate his clients story, he discovers there maybe a lot more to this case then he is able to handle.

It was a well acted film, with a decent story and good writing attached to it. It kept me interested until the very end. It may not have been as clever, or edge of my seat as I had hopped, but, it was still good, and I enjoyed it none the less.

If you have about two hours of free time on your hands, and are interested in watching court room drama, this is the movie for you, even if your not, I'd still recommend a viewing in the future. This movie may not win any awards in the future, or be  considered a classic, but it was still fun to watch.

Hall Pass

Let's start off with, this wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, not to say that it wasn't pretty funny though. Had a few good laughs through out the movie, but, most of the scenes that were suppose to be funny, really were just more awkward in my opinion. It was a very awkward funny movie I think, and that type of comedy just doesn't work well on me, I believe I commented on that in the past.

Hall Pass follows two married men who still have their eyes on other women, with the delusion that they could nail those women if only they weren't married. Well, their wives fed up with the way their husbands have been thinking, decide to give them a one week free pass from marriage to let them do whatever they want. Will these guys get hit reality, or will their dream really come to fruition.

The acting from the main characters was pretty good, but, the supporting cast was horrible. Ruined a lot of the immersion as the movie went on. The plot was very bare bones in my opinion, a very liner story line, with a few good laughs, and a lot of awkward-ness.

I'd have to say, wait until this movie comes on your premium cable channels before watching it, you are really not missing out on much, I'd recommend it if you catch on and have nothing better to do. You really shouldn't go out of your way to watch this one though, not worth the trouble.

All Good Things

Normally you see me write I had no idea what this movie was about before I watched it. Well, for this movie I did see a trailer for it before I watched it, so I thought I knew what this movie was going to be like before watching it, I was wrong. The trailer gave me the completely wrong impression, it made me think this movie was going to be entertaining.

All Good Things follows the life of David Marks from 1971 to 2003, a young man, aire to a real estate company in New York. As he falls in love, gets married and moves on with his life, things are not as well as they seem, something is wrong with David, but, what?

Okay, the trailer for this movie was amazing, at leas to me, it did exactly as it was suppose to. It got my interest, it made me remember the movie, so when I came across it later on, I had to watch it. I wish I wouldn't of now, I should have just let that trailer be my only memory of this movie. Now, don't get me wrong, I've seen worse movies, it wasn't horrible, it just wasn't any good.

The acting was decent, the story itself was bad. It follows a "true story" which is really just hearsay, but, aren't all movies that are based on true stories. Really all this movie had going for it was the main actors were attractive, and good act...sort of.

It's kind of funny they named the movie All Good Things, seeing as it wasn't good, it was bad, I guess they should have called it All Bad Things: This Movie Sucks, Don't Watch It. That would have been more fitting I think. If you haven't got it yet, I don't recommend seeing this movie ever.

The Adjustment Bureau

I didn't expect this film to be as interesting as it was. I was very glad to be wrong about that. It took a very scifi turn, that I didn't even know this movie had, guess I should start watching trailers for films more often. The acting was very good, one of the best performances from Matt Damon I've seen in awhile.

What if there were people who made sure you life followed a certain path. On the days you start to drift from you set path, they may have you lose your keys, misplace your shoes. The Adjustment Bureau follows just that idea, but, no matter how hard they tried, could they really push a person into the path they want, or can people, through seer will make their own paths.

It was a perfect blend of drama, romance, and with just the right amount of comedy sprinkled over top. This movie was very interesting, and will keep you guessing until the very end. The on screen chemistry between Matt Damon and Emily Blunt was palpable, was wonderful to watch.

I didn't expect much from this movie, but was surprised, it was very well done, and paced. I definitely recommend seeing this movie, make time for it one night, or one rainy afternoon. It was worth the watch.

Super

This movie was a lot different, and a lot better then I thought it would be. I was never a fan of the series The Office, and therefore, never really seen anything Rainn Wilson has done. This movie however, may have me invest a little more into his career. It was a awkward and weired movie, but, those type of movies always work with me.

Super is about an ordinary man, a cook at a diner(Rainn Wilson). After his wife is taken it away from him under the guise of drugs form a local drug dealer, he decides to become a Super Hero, fight crime, and get his wife back from the man who took her. Along the way meeting a young girl(Ellen Page), who becomes his sidekick.

This movie was actually extremely graphic then I expected it would be. I really don't know how else to explain this movie, I guess just an awkward, over the top, somewhat misguided super hero fights crime. That's about the best description I can come up with. I have to touch on the character played by Ellen Page just a little bit. She's crazy, and psychotic, she really made the movie something beyond just your man becomes hero films that seem to be pumping out these last few years.

As I said earlier, even know this movie, for the lack of a better term was fucked up, I still enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of do-it-yourself superheroes. Just don't expect this super heroes moral compass to be as straight as other heroes you know.

Insidious

I knew absolutely nothing about this movie going in, all I knew is that it was the "scariest" movie in years. Now, I'm not a big horror fan, but I thought I guess I should see this. People have been telling me this is the most legit scary movie they've ever seen. So, I was ready for it, waited until it was dark out, shut off all the lights in my house and I was ready to be scared.

Insidious follows a family who move into a new home. When one of their sons mysteriously falls into a coma, and the mother starts seeing what she believes to be ghost, she starts to believe that there is something more to this new house they moved into.

I admit I jumped a few times watching it, however, it wasn't anything new and exciting that got me to jump, it was the same old quick flash on screen, queue jump in music, and boo! Other then that, I didn't think it was scary at all. What makes movies scary to me, is the possibility of it actually happening. The way the hunting was set up in this movie, gave no reason for me to fear it ever happening to me.

In fact, the acting in this movie was so horrible, along with some of the shots of the "ghosts" I actually laughed a few times. That should be a dead give-a-way that you failed at making a horror film, when I laugh at what is suppose to be scary. You know I don't ever spoil anything in the movie during my reviews, but, if I did I would give you some very choice examples of the above.

Really, the scariest movie I've ever seen, and don't laugh at this. No Country for Old Men. Seriously, the hit man played by Javier Bardem literally frightened me. Just because I felt it could actually happen, more likely then any horror movie I've seen. It was just, terrifying.

The horrible acting, and the lack of fright aside, this movie wasn't to bad. It was a take I had never personally seen before, though I'm sure exist. I guess I'd honestly recommend seeing this, if not for the fact that you can laugh at the people who were actually scared by this movie.

The Dilemma

Let's just say their is a reason this movie only has a 4.9 rating out of 10 on IMDB. It's not a good movie. Really, the best part of this movie was when the credits began to roll, because that meant it was over and I'd get to move on with my life and never have to sit through that travesty again.

What would you do if you caught your best friends wife with another man? The Dilemma takes two business parts who are trying to create a realistic sounding electric engine and puts one of them in that same situation.

It wouldn't have been as bad if the movie was actually funny, which it wasn't. The story of the film I thought would have been a good idea if it had been done right, which it wasn't. The movie might have been decent had the acting been at least sub par, which it wasn't. So the movie went zero for three in my eyes, a failure on all accounts. I expected better, well, hoped for better, but, was let down in the end.

I wouldn't wish this movie on my worst enemy, if that's any inclination of how bad it is, double it and you are at least close. I don't not recommend seeing this movie, but, if you do, I'm sorry for your loss.

The Buddy Holly Story

Yeah, this movie came out before I was born, and I watched it for the first time last night. Released in 1978, and you know, I never would have guessed that, the quality of this movie really held through the years. I have to say I was impressed.

This movie followed the rise and untimely death of Buddy Holly (Gary Busey).

Yeah, that's about all you need for as synopsis of this movie,  I have to say Gary Busey was pretty good in this movie, I can see why he ended up getting nominated for Best Actor from this movie. Now, of course Buddy Holly was way before my time, but, I have to say, this movie made me want to learn more about him, it's something that with just over a year of fame before his death he was able to influence so many people later down the road.

I know this movie got hit pretty hard after its release for all of its inaccuracies, but still, from just a semi biographical point a of view, and for just the sheer entertainment purposes of the movie, it was well worth the watch. The ending of the movie, and I mean the very ending, the last scene where they just freeze the shot and put what happened later that night on scene made me laugh. The whole movie was good, but, that scene was just ridiculous, like they ran out of ideas for how to end it.

Other then that one part, the movie was very good, and I'd recommend it to anyone, just to get a rough idea of what life was like as Buddy Holly.

Just Go With It

I had forgotten all about this movie, until I happened to come across it the other day. I didn't even really know what it was going to be about, or even who was in it besides Jenifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, just because they were on the cover. So going in with no expectations prior, it was pretty funny.

Just Go With It follows the life of a plastic surgeon (Adam Sandler) who uses a fake wedding ring to pick up girls. He so happens to find the woman of his dreams who believes he is married. Using his assistant (Jennifer Aniston) and her children he tries to convince Palmer (Brooklyn Decker) he is getting a divorce.

That's basically what the movie is about it's basically the same old story when it comes to Hollywood "love stories". So, you know how that is going to end. Other then that, it was pretty funny, a little over the top in a few places, but, that's to be expected with Adam Sandler movies.

I enjoyed watching it though, I laughed out loud a few times, which is always a good sign watching a comedy. Overall it wasn't to bad, if your fan of any of the actors in this movie, or you want to see Brooklyn Decker in a bikini, I recommend watching this.

The Eagle

I'm normally a big fan of Roman era movies, but, this movie may have single handedly made me hate that genre. Seriously, this movie was terrible, I'm not even sure if I really need to write a full review for it. It was two hours of boring.

Honestly, screw it, this movie was so horrible that I don't even want to give this movie a full review, don't see this movie, it is really bad, if you come across this movie, I recommend you light it on fire, and bury it under cement.

The Rite

I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of horror movies, I think it might stem from my parents love of horror movies, and me watching so many at a young age. Perhaps I just crew out of the need to feel scared, or irked out. Be that as it may, I decided to sit and take this movie on and see what had to offer, seeing the staggering number of exorcism movies that have cropped up in recent years.

The Rite follows Michael Kovak (Colin O'Donoghue) as he joins seminary school, to try and trick the church into paying for his schooling with out becoming a priest. As his schooling is nearing it's end, the church sends him to take an exorcism course in the Vatican, to try and sway his decision to leave, but, could other forces be pushing him on this path?

Of the few exorcism movies I've seen, I found this one to be the most "realistic" in the portraying of a demonic possession. Not saying I'm an expert on it, but, it seemed like the events that unfolded in this movie were more believable to have happened then say what happened in The Exorcist.

Be that is it may, this movie still wasn't that good. I even laughed out loud at a few of the more thriller inducing scenes because they were just so over acted and cheesy. So, let's keep this simply, unless you are a big fan of the actors in this movie, or of the exorcism genre, I don't recommend this one.

I Am Number Four

Okay, I just want to get one thing out of the way, this movie ends by setting up a sequel, so the first thing I did after I finished watching it was to see how poorly it did in the box office. It's safe to assume this sequel will never happen, so just keep that in mind first in for most, you will more then likely not know how this saga will end.

I Am Number Four is about nine aliens who are being hunted by another group of aliens on earth. This particular story focuses on Number Four, with the three before him already killed, he knows he is next, as he and his protector (Timothy Olyphant) try to hide from them.

I am sadden to know that the chances of this movie seeing a sequel are slim, but, still in the grand scheme of things, this movie wasn't good enough to earn a sequel. It was mostly just trying to cash in on the whole young teen market that is in full force right now with The Twilight Saga and Harry Potter movies.

Main reason I watched this movie, I'm a big fan of Timothy Olyphant, he however didn't get to much screen time anyway, so let's make this one quick I do not recommend watching this. Especially since you'll never get to see how the saga finishes, what's the point?

No Strings Attached

Listen, I had no intention of ever seeing this movie, that's how much I dislike Ashton Kutcher, but, I had a hard time passing up a Natalie Portman movie, even after the tragedy that was the New Star Wars trilogy.

Guess what else, I don't think I'm going to do a synopsis for this movie, because I really hate writing those, I'm not sure why but I do. So, here's the short and sweet, guy really likes this girl, she is emotionally numb, they decide to be sex friends, you tell me what happens next?

Overall, the movie was okay I guess, it had a few funny parts throughout the film, but, it was you basic romantic comedy, followed the same story arc that they all follow, I'm fairly certain I don't have to tell you what that is. Without even starting this movie, you already know how it will end, you already know what the arc of the story is, you know it all.

So really, what is the point of seeing this movie if you already know everything that is going to happen in this movie? Honestly, there isn't a reason, it was okay, but, wasn't anything special. I mean, come on, same old played out movie. You should just do yourself a favor and watch a more unique romantic comedy, like 500 Days of Summer, at least it's different.

Battle: Los Angeles

Man, have I heard a lot of bad stuff about this movie before I watched it. I mean a lot, about how poor the plot was, about how unrealistic it was, about how poor the military decisions were. First of all, it was a movie, it isn't a documentary, it was meant to entertain you, not give you a play by play of what would really happen. On that note, it was entertaining to me. I thought it was a pretty damn good action movie.

When meteors begin to strike the earth, just off the coast of every continent with expert precision, the military is sent in to investigate, what turns out to be a full scale invasion from another planet. Why are they here? What do they want? Can we stop them before they wipe us out?

Sure, the fighting was a bit unrealistic, these cyborg, armor clad, laser shooting aliens are being torn a new one by like 12 Marines, yet, when the aliens come against another soldiers, be it Marine or otherwise they simply mow through them. Yeah, hard to believe, but, as I stated above, it was just movie, meant to entertain, and it was successful at that.

If you're a fan of alien invasions, giant explosions, gunfights, and war in general. This movie is something that should really pique your interest, I recommend it.

Raw Deal

Here we go again, I found another Arnold movie I had never seen before, and decided to watch it, this one is from 1986. This was an odd movie, it was like Arnold tried to be funny during this movie. He had quite a few one liners during it, but, he's not a comedic actor. He's an action star.

A retired FBI agent gets placed as an undercover in the Chicago mob to bring them down single handily.

Yeah, that's all you need for a plot line for this movie, nothing much else happens in it, he works his way into the mob, and then does what he does best. Kill everyone. It was an okay movie, the one liners were a little much, Arnold isn't good at delivering him, any movie of his where he tries to be funny, normally bombs, which could be the reason I never heard of this one. But, once the end of the movie rolled around, the Arnold we all know and love showed up guns blazing.

It's worth a watch for an Arnold movie, but, other then that, it wasn't anything special, I could have definitely gone with out seeing this one.

Little Fockers

I was a rather big fan of the first two movies, I thought they were both very funny, and well done. This one on the other hand was very lackluster. The movie was about a hour and a half long, and I only laughed maybe twice through out the whole movie. It really just wasn't funny at all.

Little Fockers is the third movie to focus on the Byrnes and Focker families. This one takes place years after the second movie, Greg and Pam have twins getting ready to turn five, and are getting ready for their birthday, which of course will bring this strange family back together for what will be a crazy weekend.

First of all, let me just say the character played by Jessica Alba, was just horrible. Completely unfunny, just annoying and awkward. I never thought I'd dread seeing her gorgeous self on screen in a movie, but, she was able to pull it off for this movie. Not to mention, it was just the same tired old jokes from the first two movies getting rehashed out again in a different setting. It was really a let down.

As you can see from the way I explained my feelings on this movie, I would definitely not recommend anyone watch this, please don't even waste your time on it. It was boring, unfunny, and pretty much plot-less. I wish I didn't take the time to watch it, and just forgot it was even made.

The Tourist

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, who would have thought this wonderful combination of actors would make an extremely mediocre movie? Not I, that is for sure, I expected great things, until I actually watched it. I had a funny feeling I had seen this already, but, I couldn't remember where, then it hit me. Knight and Day + Killers = The Tourist, of course how could I have been so blind.

A man meets a beautiful mysterious woman on a train, who oddly seems interested in him, as the two continue to get to know one another, the man starts to notice something odd, people seem to be following them, she seems to be a little to mysterious. When gunmen attack him, he decides to figure out what is really going on, and why this woman is connected to the events, and even helping him through them.

How about that for a synopsis of a movie? I pretty much said the plot to one hundred different movies in there, which is oddly enough exactly what this movie was. The same as one hundred other movies. Mind you it may have had the gorgeous Angelina Jolie, and the dashing Johnny Depp in it, but, really they could only take it so far before it became a walking cliche.

The movie had a few funny moments in it I did enjoy, and a I could see it coming since the opening credits rolled twist at the end. It may have been mediocre at best, and the same plot as one hundred movies before it, but, I'm not upset I watched it. Let's just leave it at that.

Red Heat

That's right, we're going way back in time today. This movie came out in 1988, and I just watched it for the first time last night. I said I would review every new movie I see this year, and this movie was new to me, so, here we go. First of all, before we get into it, I have to say it was odd seeing all these actors I know so young. Laurence Fishburne being one of them, I remember him from The Matrix and C.S.I, but man did he look different in this movie.

Red Heat is about a Russian police officer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who is chasing a drug dealer who fleas to America, there he gets partnered up with a Chicago police officer (James Belushi). They team up to try and capture this drug dealer, but first, they have to learn to work together and look past their difference if they ever want to succeed.

This was your pretty standard buddy cop movie, James  Belushi playing a cop, which seems to be his go to roll, and Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a Russian police officer with no sense of humor. It's funny I had never heard of this movie until I happen to come across it flipping though channels, it was a pretty decent movie I thought.

It had it's faults, with some over acting, and poor dialog, but, over all it told a good story, for a buddy cop movie at least. It all came together at the end, showing the moral of the story, Russians and Americans can be friends. Right? I'm pretty sure that was the message they were showing us. I'd recommend a watch, even for just the nostalgia of it.

Season of the Witch

This movie has been getting the short end of the stick, a lot of people have been calling it a horrible movie, and I have to say, they were correct to a point. However, it wasn't as bad as people have made out. That one thing is certain.

Season of the Witch is about two Knights Templar (Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman) who desert after disagreeing on an attack they were ordered to make. Their journey away from the church brought them to a village anguished by a plague thought to be the work of a witch. After being discovered as deserters they agree to bring the witch to trail, a journey they thought to be simple will soon be the greatest test of will they've ever undergone.

At first I was put off by the movie, but, as it continued on I became more intrigued with what was happening, and what was going to happen. The acting wasn't the greatest throughout, Nicolas Cage seemed to really phone in his performance, Ron Perlman isn't a bad actor, he just seems to play the same character in every movie. I have always been interested in medieval themed films, and films about the occult, that kept me quite entertained throughout.

I don't think I'll ever watch this movie again, but, I don't feel like I wasted my time watching it either. So, if you're a fan of any of the actors in the film, or of the theme the filmed is based on, I'd recommend a watch.

TRON: Legacy

Alright, it's been far to long I admit it, but, what can I say I haven't had much time to watch any movies as of late. So, here it is then. TRON: Legacy, I was pretty pumped for this movie when I heard they were making a sequel to the original TRON, and this one well, it wasn't the original but it was still good.

Normally I'll put a brief over view of the movie right here, but, come on it's TRON, you know what happened in the original, in this one it's 20 years later and the son of Kevin Flynn, Sam Flynn finds his way into the grid just like his father did all those years ago.

Let's keep this short and sweet, you really don't need to draw out a review for a movie like TRON: Legacy, you either like it or you don't. No other way to put it, I liked it. It wasn't as good as the original, but, then again not many things are. It was fun, and the soundtrack, which was done by Daft Punk was amazing. I highly recommend you see it, but, first you need to watch the original TRON, if you haven't already, shame on you.

Hereafter

Even know I didn't know a whole lot about this movie, I knew I really wanted to see it, seeing as I've enjoyed every other film that I've seen directed by Clint Eastwood. So, when I sat down and finally got a chance to watch it, I was pretty excited. Alas, the excitement was ill placed. The movie wasn't like I expected it to be, just okay.

Hereafter is about a three people and how their lives end up intersecting with one another though death and the afterlife. A man with the ability to speak with the dead, a woman whose near death experience let her view the afterlife, and a child who lost his brother all come together to complete a moving story of life and death.

Listen, the movie was okay, but I really didn't care for the way Matt Damon's character was portrayed, he was a gifted psychic who hated the gift he was given, the ability to communicate with the dead. He just seemed like a whiner throughout the whole movie, always complain about his ability, and belittling people who ask for his help.

That was probably what ruin the movie for me, if there is one thing I dislike in a character, it's someone who complains when they have an amazing gift, or when they have everything in the world and still whine about it. I wouldn't recommend this movie, but, I might be a bit biased about it, who knows.

Winter's Bone

I am a little late on posting this one, I watched this movie on Saturday and just remembered I needed to write a review for it. So, here we go. Winter's Bone, I didn't know anything about this movie going into it, all I knew is that it was nominated for Best Picture, and it was the only one I haven't seen yet out of the ten nominated. So, I decided to watch it, and I could see why it was nominated. It was a very gripping tale indeed, I was hooked to the screen for start until the credits rolled.

Winter's Bone is about a seventeen year old girl named Ree, and her need to find her meth cooking father, or risk losing the home she lives in with her ill mother and younger brother and sister as their caretaker. Her father placed their home up as his bail, and is unable to be found as the court date draws near. So, Ree decides to ask around for her father and try to find him, but, the area in which she leaves, people don't like to be asked questions.

Jennifer Lawrence was amazing in this film, she played the part as if she was born to do it. John Hawkes was so good, I didn't even know it was him playing the character Teardrop until I seen his name come up in the end credits. It really amazed me at how well this movie was done, and how fantastic the characters were played.

This movie may have not won Best Picture, but, it did deserve it's nomination, and I wouldn't have been surprised if it did take the award, it would have been well deserved. This was a great movie, the flaws were few and far between, do yourselves a favor and watch this, I highly recommend it.

Amélie

I've been hearing about this movie for years, about how great it was, and I've always wanted to see it, just never found the time. Well, I finally found the time. It was worth it, I thought it was a pretty good movie. It was funny, and different, and overall a good watch.

Amélie is about a girl, lost in her imagination all through life, as an adult she decides to use her imagination to help those around her, wreck revenge on those who've done wrong, and help those who've lost faith in humanity, all while slowly falling in love with a man shes never spoken to.

First of all, the movie was in French, and I don't speak a word of French, so I'm sure some of the comedy was lost on me, because it's hard to read comedy, in my opinion at least. But, the movie still made me laugh, and still kept my attention all through out, even know I couldn't understand what was being said, and had to read it. The movie really stuck to Amélie's imagination, and how she views life, it was a very interesting thing to see.

Not many people can handle movies with subtitles, immediately you do lose some of the flair of the movie, when you are stuck reading everything that is being said. You may miss what's happening on screen at times, or lose the inflection in someones voice and it may take away from their character. But, more often then not, you end up missing good movies if you swear off films you have to read through. Please, don't do that with Amélie watch it, you'll enjoy it, I recommend it.

The Runaways

What is this madness? Two updates in one day? Heck yes, two updates that's more then one. The Runways staring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning playing the parts of Joan Jett and Cherie Curry respectively. Okay, it was a decent movie, nothing spectacular, nothing to write home about. Just decent, a little longer then I would have liked but, I was still awake until the end, so that's something.

The Runaways is a pretty easy movie to explain, it's about the forming of the band The Runaways, and what fame did to them, and how that lead to their eventual split. Oh, and it's about the friendship between Joan Jett and Cherie Curry.

Really, if you liked the band you'll probably want to watch this movie, I don't know how much of it is real, and how much was Hollywood real, but, it's nice to see how a band got together and how it changed and grew to become what it was at the peak of it's success. Not to mention to see it all tumble down to the ground afterward.

I wouldn't recommend setting through this movie, you could defiantly leave a long and happy life without ever seeing it, but, if you were a fan of The Runaways, or if you enjoyed Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, give it a watch.

Hunt to Kill

Okay, let's do a pros and cons list for this movie to start out, try a little something different. Pro: This movie stars Stone Cold Steve Austin of WWE fame, and when I was a youngling my favorite wrestler, so that's a pretty big pro, right? Con: The dialog was horrible, the acting was sub par, the plot was boring, the action was cheesy, and the ending was so bad it's funny. Well, safe to say the cons out way the pros in this movie, by a landslide.

Hunt to Kill is about a Border Patrol officer (Steve Austin) who is watching is daughter over her winter vacation in Montana. At the same time a heist is being done in Nevada, and the thieves head to this Border Patrol Officers small town in Montana and force him to lead them to the Canadian border.

Listen, I can't even put my whole heart in to explaining the movie to you, I was getting bored trying to do that. This movie was awful, it was a direct to DVD flick, and well, after watching it, it should have been a direct to trash movie. Before the movie really started I thought to myself, Steve Austin isn't a bad actor, I wonder why he never gets summer blockbusters. After watching this movie I can see why, he picks terrible movies to star in.

This movie was bad, and I would sure hope after reading this review you understand that you shouldn't put yourself through the pain of watching it. Bottom line, I do not recommend this movie to anyone, not even my worst enemy, I think it would be to cruel for even them.

The Mechanic

I'm a fan of Jason Statham and Ben Foster, so I was pretty psyched going into this movie. Now, I haven't seen the original with Charles Bronson, but, I did like this remake. The movie was action packed, and full of big ass explosions. Not much else a guy could ask for.

The Mechanic is a remake of the 1972 movie by the same name, staring Charles Bronson. It's about a hit man who ends up training the son of one of his targets to be a hit man like himself. When he finds out he was tricked into doing something he didn't want to do, he and his newly trained partner decide to take down everyone who comes against them.

The movie was good, it had a pretty solid ending on it, the ending was somewhat expected, but, was still done well. Lots of guns, lots of explosions, and a few naked chicks. This is a guys movie through and through. I recommend a watch if you want to kick your testosterone into overdrive and see what it's like to be awesome.

The Next Three Days

The Next Three Days staring the slightly rotund and very angry Russell Crowe. Yeah, it wasn't bad, but it was far to long of a movie for what it offered. They could have probably cut a good 20 minutes out of the movie and it would have been a lot better. It had far to much bloat in the middle, much like Russell Crowe.(See what I did there?)

The Next Three Days is about a family who gets torn apart when the mother(Elizabeth Banks) gets accused of murder and is sent to prison. Josh Brennan(Russell Crowe) after exhausting every legal way to free his wife, decides to break her out of prison. Now, on a moderate teachers salary he must study, plan, and fund her escape and make it out of the country. Will he be able to do it? Or will not only his sons mother be in prison but also his father.

It was a bit unrealistic to see a professor at a community college in what seemed like a few months become an expert at breaking and entering and escaping the police. But, it was a movie, and that's what most movies are, unrealistic. Still, it was almost to much to be believed. Not to mention the wife played by Elizabeth Banks was so unlikable through out the entire movie, it really didn't grab you and pull you in. I mean, I'm not sure if it was the writing, or the acting but, no matter what happened I just felt nothing toward the wife, I could really careless what happened to her.

The movie, on the hole, was far to long for what it tried to present, the acting was fairly sub par and the wife, which was a major supporting character was completely unlikeable, while the movie told a decent story, I still would not recommend. Do yourself a favor, pass on this one, it isn't worth your time.

Tangled

Okay, this had to of been one of the best Disney movies I've seen in quite a long time. Really, I'm not kidding, in fact take out that it was a Disney movie, and that it was a CG movie targeted at kids and it was still a really good movie. Sure it wasn't anything original plot wise, but, really what is now?

Tangled is a Disney animated film about Rapunzel, a girl whose hair had magical powers and was stolen as a baby and kept confined in a tower for most of her life. The story follows Rapunzel and her desire to leave the tower and see the real world. When finally as chance would have it, a thief running from guards happens upon her tower and agrees to be her guide during her day out in the world.

The movie was surprisingly funny, and well voiced. I'm not a big fan of musicals, but, as far as Disney songs go, the ones preformed in this movie weren't half bad. I gotta say, my favorite character throughout the movie wasn't even human. The palace horse named Maxamas defiantly stole the scenes he was in.

Overall as I've said multiple times already I enjoyed this movie, and whether or not you have kids makes no difference, I suggest you pick a night and sit down in front of the TV and watch Tangled, I promise you, you'll laugh more then you think you will, and in the end you'll be glad you watched it. I whole heartily recommend this movie.

Devil

I've put watching Devil off for quite a long time, last few M. Night Shyamalan movies really disappointed me, and I just didn't want to get  hit with that disappointment again with this movie. Well, it happened again. I guess I should have put watching this movie off even longer, maybe even forever. The twists were obvious from the very beginning, and I just expected better.

Devil is a film about 5 people who get stuck in an elevator together and as the passengers begin to die off one by one, fears start to rise. Believing that one of the passengers maybe the devil, building security and police watch on in horror at what is happening in the elevator via the camera. What or who is causing this?

The movie was pretty bad, about as bad as that plot synopsis I just wrote for it. Not quite as bad as that, but, pretty close. The acting was believable, but, knowing what's going to happen from the opening minutes of the movie, really doesn't make it very engrossing. M. Night was once a master of twist and turns in a movie, now, he's just to obvious.

The movie was fairly short, that was a good thing, so I'd recommend it if you have time to kill and you want to see people trapped in an elevator. Really though, how often do you want to do that? Best bet is to just pass on this one, that is my real recommendation.
