Resident Evil: After Life

This movie was horrible. No, really, this movie was really bad, the acting was bad, the story was bad, the dialog was bad.

It's the 4th installment of the series, zombie outbreak caused by the evil Umbrella corporation.

Seriously this movie was bad. I don't know how many more times I can say it. This movie was so awful that I was actually rooting for the zombies to win. At least that way the movie would end and I could try my best to forget what I just saw.

Don't see this movie. I hope you heed my advice on this one, this movie is awful, it's just a giant waste of time, and the worst part about this entire movie? It ends setting up for another horrible sequal. FML

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

So I was always a big fan of the Harry Potter series growing up, and I was looking forward to seeing how they were going to end this epic series with the last movie maybe ever. I was into it until the very end. But, the last 5-10 minutes they cut out so much that I felt was a big part of the story it really bummed me out.

The final chapter begins as Harry, Ron, and Hermione continue their quest of finding and destroying the Dark Lord's three remaining Horcruxes, the magical items responsible for his immortality. But as the mystical Deathly Hallows are uncovered, and Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again.

I would go into detail, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen, or read it yet. Well, mostly read it, you'll be unaware of what I would be referencing to if you haven't read the book. Besides that, it was a good movie, and I enjoyed it. Really though, the special effects were good, and the large fight scenes were fun to watch, even know it really hardly focused on them.

All in all, it was a good movie, wasn't the best movie of the series, but, it was up there.  I wish I could continue to look forward to another book in the life of Harry Potter, but, I don't believe that will be happening, so enjoy this movie, because it may very well be the last time you see Harry Potter.

Fast Five

I had actually watched this movie like four days ago, but, forgot about writing the review for it, whoops. So, the movie isn't going to be as fresh in my mind, but, lucky for us, it was a Fast and the Furious movie. Let's start out by saying these last two "Fast" movies have been really trying to push away from the racing aspect that made the first movies fun to watch. They are really trying to push toward more of a Oceans 11 type of action/crime/drama movie.

Dominic and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent. With heat coming at them from both sides of the law, they need to make a plan to disappear and fast.

I'm a sucker for the "Fast" movies, I love them, everyone one of them, except 2 Fast 2 Furious, that one was an abomination, but, Eve Mendes was in that one so it made up for it. So, what can I say, even know they are trying to push away from the racing aspect of the previous movies, it still turned out to be entertaining and I did enjoy it.

If you do  decide to watch this, which, I think you should, watch out for cameos, there is a lot of them. A lot of appearances from past cast members of the previous movies, and a nice surprise after the credits roll, so stay tuned for that. Only thing that was missing was Lucas Black, who was the star of the third installment The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, which was my favorite and still is of the series, shame it is suppose to take place after the current movies coming out. How confusing, right?

Source Code

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I'm getting much lazier with my reviews as of late, but, so what, you can suck my butt. Keeping it short and to the point with this review, I'm going to pound this puppy out in like 3 minutes. It was better then I thought it would be, but not as good as I hoped it would be.

An action thriller centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. Struggling with his mission, and the issues of death, he finds out more then he needs to know.

The movie started off pretty slow, but, it ramped up near the middle, slowed back down, and then had a nice ride of an ending. The acting was good, even know the actors were acting out the same scenes with different dialog over and over, it still kept me interested in what was happening, and what was going to happen next.

As I said, it was better then I thought it would be, but, not quite as good or interesting as I had hoped it would have been. With that in mind, I say it's a decent watch for a boring night, don't expect anything to mind blowing with this film, but, I think as the credits begin to roll at the end, you'll be satisfied with what you just saw.

Black Death

Sean Bean, only reason I watched this movie. Funny, I think I made that statement not to long ago for another movie. Anyway, I was still on my kick from the just finished first season of Game of Thrones, and I seen Sean Bean had recently done another medieval movie, so figured I should watch it. It was pretty good, could have been better but, I enjoyed it.

Set during the time of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England, a young monk is tasked with learning the truth about reports of people being brought back to life in a small village.Escorted by knights sent by the bishop to find the root of this evil.

Let's see, biggest complaint for me has to be some of the acting being rather bland. Particularly from Eddie Remayne, I loved him in Pillars of Earth, but, I felt that he played the same character in this one, yet, poorly. The makeup and effects were quite bad also, it was almost laughable at points. The story was done well, for what it was. The sets and locations were fantastic.

All in all, if you like Sean Bean, you'll like this movie. He plays the roll he plays in every movie or television show I've seen him in. If you've seen more then one of his films, you know what roll I'm talking about. It was to fantastical, so if you are looking for a more serious venture into the medieval, this would be a good choice for you too.
